Attractive Summer Shopping Mall

KUCHING: The Summer Shopping Mall here will complement the facilities available in Samarahan and help enhance the quality of the lifestyle at work or for entertainment and leisure.

“Over the last couple of years, Samarahan has witnessed dynamic changes, growth and development of residential house estates, commercial shops, a golf club, government buildings, army camp and education centres.

The infrastructure has also taken shape to support all the new projects and communities from Samarahan and Kuching. With the presence of the new expressway from Kuching to Kota Samarahan, the location of the Summer Shopping Mall is only less than 20 minutes drive from Kuching city and less than 10 minutes from Tabuan Jaya,” said Lee Chee Fui, managing director of Tetap Majumas Sdn Bhd, the developer of Summer Shopping Mall at the soft launching of the project yesterday.

“Kuching city has more than 600,000 existing population and the nearby Samarahan Division has a population of 300,000.

Kota Samarahan, which has began witnessing a remarkable transformation into a City of Knowledge of Sarawak with many institutions of higher learning in the area including University Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas), Universiti Teknologi MARA, Tun Abdul Razak Teacher’s Training College, Industrial Training Institute Samarahan (ILP), Technology Park Sarawak, Sarawak International Medical Centre (SIMC), the Dato Traoh International School and Kota Samarahan International Private School.

This has encouraged the current remarkable growth of the population and the development of mixed residential and commercial projects, and Summer Shopping Mall is set to complement all these development,” Lee continued.

The Summer Shopping Mall is a three-storey shopping mall above ground plus a lower ground basement car park.

At 177m long and 95m wide, it comprises an established hypermarket and departmental store from lower ground basement to first floor.

It will be a one-stop place where shoppers can do their entire daily shopping in the most convenient and exciting environment.

There will be a cineplex that can accommodate about 800 movie goers at a time, food court, cyber café, and 234 shop outlets ranging from regional to international retailers.

There will be ample basement and open space car parks offering approximately 1,400 parking bays.
